Chichester Psalms (Bernstein)
Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne (Handel)
Ode for the Birthday of Queen Mary, “Come Ye Sons of Art” (Purcell)
This year marks the 100th birthday of Leonard Bernstein, and we'll honor him with a performance of his best known choral work, "Chichester Psalms."
G.F. Handel's "Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne" -- heard at the recent royal wedding -- and Henry Purcell's "Ode for the Birthday of Queen Mary" (aka "Come Ye Sons of Art") will take us back to when composers and choruses really knew how to throw a birthday party.
When tickets are available, we will post box office details.
